China's manufacturing activity picked up last month, indicating economic resilience in the face of US President Donald Trump slapping more tariffs on China's exports. The latest data comes as policymakers are expected to announce that they'll push China's official budget deficit target to the highest in over three decades. Apple announces big investment in US

Apple has announced a huge $500bn investment in the United States as it shifts more business to the US amid the Trump administration's new tariff regime. The tech giant announced it's hiring 20,000 Americans and building a manufacturing factory to produce servers for artificial intelligence. It comes as President Donald Trump imposes a 10% tariff on all products from China, where most iPhones are made. Benji Hyer reports.

S.A Union COSATU Concerned Over U.S. Tariff Threat

S.A union Cosatu says it is deeply worried by the United States president Donald Trump’s announcement of pending tariffs on South African and other nations’ exports. Cosatu’s spokesperson, Matthew Parks says this threatens thousands of South African jobs in many sectors, including agriculture, mining, jewellery, chemicals, automotive, and clothing. He says with a 41.9-percent unemployment rate, South Africa cannot afford further job losses:
