US states sue TikTok, calling it ‘digital nicotine’

More than a dozen US states are filing lawsuits against TikTok because of its effects on teens and other young users. A bipartisan coalition of attorneys general allege the social media giant is addictive and harmful to users' mental health. TikTok says the claims are "inaccurate and misleading." Russia, West hold largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War

In the largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War, the US, Germany, Slovenia, and Russia agreed to swap 26 individuals in Ankara, Turkey. Moscow received 10 Russians accused of espionage and other crimes in the West, including two children of a convicted Russian couple in Slovenia. In return, Russia released 13 individuals with German, US, and Russian citizenship. Daria Bondarchuk reports from Moscow.

Sudan's government conditionally accepted on Tuesday an invitation to attend U.S.-sponsored peace talks in Geneva, raising hopes that the talks could advance efforts to end a 15-month-old war according to Reuters.
